Where to begin with this place. I'm not into cakes much, When filming weddings, I'd often try and take a slice of cake home with me for my wife when she was pregnant, but we've had our baby girl. I was filming a wedding at The Bingham House in McKinney and had the chance to try the cake (from Say It with Sugar) that night and WOW!! I went back for another slice but it was gone. The cake had veins of different flavors (lemon, strawberry, etc) and the frosting (buttercream) was amazing. I've since been happy to discover that Say It with Sugar is also based in Wylie, Tx. Often instead of flowers for my wife, I'll now go by Say It with Sugar and buy her a slice of carrot cake and something for myself. It was surprising to hear how many people at the reception were talking about how incredible the cake was. A few suggestions for future brides, stay away from fondant, go with buttercream. Also, check out Say It with Sugar, you'll be very happy. The owners (2 sisters) and bakers (one in the same) have been on television baking, and after trying their cake and other desserts, you'll know why. |
